Before starting this program, I was feeling very discouraged in my ability to change/better my mindset around living a healthy lifestyle. I didn't think I could do it. I barely ate any vegetables, and I thought "There's no way I'll be able to change my habits." With my all-or-nothing mindset, I tend to struggle if I don't do something perfectly right off the bat. I knew I couldn’t be the only one suffering in silence and not understanding my body.

Julia Shares her experience with Body Balance Coaching

My intention when I started Body Balance was to re-focus my health, nutrition, and general well-being. I was entering a demanding career (law enforcement) and had been away for 6 months of training which resulted in skin problems, lack of energy, and poor eating habits resulting in some weight gain. I needed something that would help me create positive, sustainable, long-term habits that would set me up for success as I entered a new phase in my life.

I started working with Liv in the middle of Summer, a time where I'm generally enjoying myself by eating at restaurants, going on trips, drinking, etc. Despite this, I did not find this program restrictive or difficult to follow and it didn't hinder my progress at all.

The program was broken down into bite-sized pieces of advice and information I could gradually integrate into my life. The weekly sessions over Zoom were fantastic. Each week I learned something new, I was held accountable, and motivated. It was easy to create small and sustainable changes this way. The program was centred around over all wellbeing, nutrition, and learning how to troubleshoot issues that could stand in the way of my everyday health. I was forced to become very intentional about what I put into my body because I now understood what it meant.

The changes I noticed were gradual. The first thing I noticed is my energy levels started to increase substantially. I felt less bloated and tired throughout the day. My psoriasis, a condition I've had since childhood and have been medicated for, significantly improved. My clothes started fitting so much better and I started to feel better about myself over all. I started to genuinely enjoy and crave healthy foods every day. I became more mindful about my sleep patterns, nutrition, and stress management. As a police officer on shift work who also does volunteer firefighting on my time off, managing these things was especially important for me. By the end of the program, I was down 20 lbs even though weight loss was not my top goal or something I was particularly focused on at all.

Working with Liv on the Body Balance program was truly a valuable investment in myself. This program is NOT a quick fix, but it was an opportunity for me to become informed and educated about my choices and learn how to improve my health overall. How long is the BB program?

6 weeks for both 1-1 & group training

Will the BB program help me lose weight?

While weight loss can definitely be a byproduct of the program and the healthy habits implemented I don’t guarantee results as it's up to the client to follow through on the weekly tasks. I encourage all my clients to not focus on extrinsic motivation like looking a certain way, but focusing on how they feel & how their body functions. 

Who is the BB program for?

Women looking to improve their health literacy & increase their knowledge on healthy hormone balancing. These 6 weeks will provide tons of information so you can take back control over your health!

How long does the self-paced BB program take?

Just as the name states you can do a lesson a day for 6 days, you can do one a week or at whatever pace you feel is right for you!

Will the BB program help with gut dysfunction (IBS/IBD/dysbiosis)?

Yes! All of the gut health protocols in the program as well as our whole foods holistic approach will help to lower inflammation and give your gut the nutrients it needs to heal.

What if i miss one of the live calls?

What is the difference between the 1-1 or group coaching?

The 1-1 coaching is the most personalized offer. I will work exclusively with you for 6 weeks, 1 hour each week. You will have access to me for any questions, concerns, and motivation needs. Together we will build a custom plan to get you meeting your goals. The group coaching is a slightly lesser investment where you still get to work with me live, each week, for 6 weeks! I give the zoom education sessions once a week & send out goals in an email afterwards. It’s less personalized but you still have access to me over the 6 weeks. 

Will the program provide a meal plan for me?

While I do give meal guides - I try to stay away from meal plans as people end up attributing their successes to the meal plan instead of their efforts and lifestyle changes! The meal guides are optional & extra ideas for recipes.
