FOOD AS FUEL

Just as the title says – food is fuel.

Please note I don’t call it diet or health conscious or any other descriptive and restrictive words because it is all relative! If you speak to someone who is lactose intolerant they might tell you dairy shouldn’t be in your diet. If you speak to someone who’s been living paleo/keto/sugar free etc their opinions on what should be included in your diet will all vary.

My point here is that you need to tune into what whole foods are good for you. Food is supposed to give you ENERGY to live, be a fun TASTEY time, and be a POSITIVE experience that you are not totally overwhelmed or all-consumed by. Since everyone’s bodies are different you need to start giving a sh*t and caring about your own body not the advice someone gives you for their body.

Start taking note of the types of food you eat and how it affects you. Does it make you feel satisfied or bloated? Did your meal give you long lasting energy or high’s and low’s? Did you enjoy your meal/experience or do you feel guilty about it? The more you are aware of how your own body interacts with certain foods the more positive changes you can make to start fuelling your body in a way that is beneficial for YOU.
